Girls, something's been going on behind my back and today, I am sharing with you all.
A few weeks earlier, I got an email from a company trying to verify if I had requested for samples. I was surprised since I did not email them at all. I didn't pay attention and never got back to them but a just a few days back, I got another email from another seller on Etsy.com who asked me if I had sent her a request for samples. Again, I didn't do it but this time I got very suspicious, got back to the seller and told her that I did not email her requesting for any samples. The seller was very kind and disclosed the whole conversation of the person who was pretending to be ME by using a fake email id: firstname.lastname@example.org. YES ladies! there's someone out there contacting companies using my name.
Please note that I use these ids:
email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org
The fake id looks very similar to my id. My id has an "s" after "Hassan" and the fake one doesn't have an "s". If you get any email from someone who's pretending to be me, please ask for blog stats or Google Analytics screen shots of my blog right away. You can also contact me through Facebook and Twitter.
The Etsy seller gave me the imposter's mailing details which were an exact match to a beauty blogger that I know (from my own country unfortunately). Today, I got another email from FedEx saying a package was shipped to me but the destination address was incorrect and matched the one that Etsy seller gave me.
I immediately contacted some very trusted fellow bloggers and told them about this. They were very supportive and one of them (who's also working for a PR company) confirmed that it's that beauty blogger.
I thought long and hard about this and even though I do not enjoy exposing people, I am afraid, I have to take this step and expose the blogger who's been trying to deceive companies by pretending to be me.
It's Hina Naz from Beauty Drugs. (PLEASE ALL BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM BLOGGER)
She lives in Vehari, Punjab.
I have also heard that this person has been using fake ids on facebook.
Of course I warned that swindler on email to confess to this whole thing. HE replied confessing that it's not HER but HIM. He said there's a gang of guys doing this to many other bloggers just to collect free samples.
I dont know if I should believe that person. Maybe Hina Naz doesn't exist or maybe she's lying, who knows. But I wanted to inform you girls (and companies if they're reading this) to be wary of this person.
Beauty blogging in Pakistan is relatively new and even though many countries do not trust Pakistan, they trusted in my blog. I am so thankful to the companies of the U.S, U.K and Australia for believing in me and my blog.
My blog is not just a beauty blog; I have a goal, and the goal is to show you the REAL Pakistan -- it's a peaceful and friendly nation.
I am so grateful to all you guys from different countries especially the U.S, U.K, E.U, India and Australia for visiting my blog and appreciating the effort I put into my work. It means a lot to me.
To my Pakistani readers, I love you all from the core of my heart. You made this blog a success. Thank you for your undying love and support.
Even though the scam blogger is giving a bad name to the beauty blogging community of Pakistan but let me tell you, my girls (beauty bloggers) and I will put an end to this.
I also request companies to PLEASE visit the blogs and do some research. Ask for screen-shots of Blogger Stats or Google Analytics to be sure.
