I hadn’t heard of the brand before so obviously I had my suspicions about it when it arrived. Truthfully speaking, I never had a good experience with baked eyeshadows but this unexpected gem totally changed my perception.
Profusion Cosmetics Beauty Satin Baked Eyeshadow Palette
Beauty Satin Lite and Dark, both contain 24 Baked High Pigment Shadows with 1 Liquid Eye Liner.

| Eyeliners (left - right): Dark & Lite |
I have got Dark and Lite both. Dark contains colors most suitable for evening and Lite, like the name suggests, for daytime. I personally like Dark more because it has all the shades to create a variety of smokey eyes. If you look at them, you’d notice a nice scheming of colors in form of quads.
The eyeshadows contain fine shimmer and have a soft texture however few of them have a gritty feel. I think the shimmer gives a nice kick to the overall look of shadows. To my surprise, most of the colors are very pigmented and easy to work with; a few of them were a disappointment though.
Previously, I had a bad experience with Rimmel Traffic Stopping baked eyeshadows. They were crusty and hard to work with (even the scratching didn’t help). The Beauty Satin palettes however do not have a crusty layer and get picked up by the brush with ease. I also suggest applying colors with a sponge applicator on the lids especially to enhance the vibrancy even more; blend with a brush of course. Since they’re baked, the only thing that puts me off is the fallouts in the palette – it makes it look very messy. Thankfully, it’s not the same during application. There is hardly any fallout on your face.
The palettes also come with eyeliners. Dark has a black waterproof liquid eye liner with a glossy finish that I don’t like; I prefer a matte finish. Other than that, it’s pigmented, easy to apply and stays put. Lite has a clear liquid eye liner with multicolored glitter. It can be used on top of dark eyeliner to spice things up for a night out.
Overall, for the price, the Beauty Satin palettes are a total bargain. If you’re on a budget and seeking variety of colors, you should consider trying these.
You might like it if…
- You dig satin finish eyeshadows.
- You find the shadows to have good pigmentation.
- You expect a soft texture.
- You expect easy blending.
- You expect minimal fallouts.
- You’re looking for a budget-friendly palette.
- Some of the shades are not pigmented enough.
- Some of the shadows have a gritty feel.
- You don’t fancy shiny black eyeliner with a plastic-y look.
- You find the packaging bulky to travel with.

Profusion Cosmetics Beauty Satin Baked Eyeshadow Palette can be purchased from Beauty Arena for PKR 750.

are these a good substitute of mac mineralize eyeshadow or the rivaj ones are better?
ReplyDeleteYou can't compare it with MAC, it's a high end brand. but its better than rivaj ones.

ReplyDeleteASSALAMOALAIKUM Sara, looking very innocent and cute in this look.
ReplyDeletecan i buy this palette from just4girls.pk? if no then where in karachi?
i`m going to b married after 2 months,n i never used make up before, i`m so much tensed either i should buy this one or not, your blog is quiet helpful for me
kindly guide me what to do?
and in which beauty saloon is the best and reasonable for a bridal make up? i`m so much worried : (
Hey Saniya, I am not sure if this palette is available at Just4girls at the moment. Since you are getting married, I would suggest investing in Sleek Makeup i-divine Storm palette if you want to create smokey eyes. For neutral, get MUA Heaven and Earth or Undressed. These are better options also available on J4G. I think you have also emailed me so I will get back to you over there. Thank you! :) xx
Deletethese are amazing, awesome colour,I REALLY LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TO KNW THAT WHAT IS THE PRICE OF 1 PALETTE???
try profusion eye colors with fyrinnaes pixie epoxy the colors are even more vibrant and will last all day and night
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Denise. Definitely gonna look for it! :)
