Glamorous Cosmetics nail polish in ‘Party In A Bottle’ was pretty impressive. Even though the application wasn’t easy-peasy, it turned out fairly good and also seemed a close dupe for Deborrah Lippmann ‘Happy Birthday’. After that, I was quite excited to try their very affordable eyeliner. Even though I am now more inclined towards gel-based eyeliners for daily use, I still use liquid eyeliners in my makeup looks.
So when I was trying this eyeliner, I was expecting a good outcome. Read more to find out about my experience.

| Glamorous Cosmetics Eyeliner in Pavement (swatch comparison) |
I wanted to like this eyeliner but I just couldn’t. I am not extremely critical when I’m reviewing a product as I try to look for something positive. I do expect a product to at least deliver half of what it claims but with this eyeliner, I couldn’t achieve any of it.
I have no issues with the packaging - it’s really good. The applicator is sleek and pointed. I faced no issues with the application but the formula is what let me down. The consistency isn’t runny or thick which is a good point but it’s not as pigmented as I’d like it to be. When I first swiped it on my lid, it left some gaps. Even with the second coat, I couldn’t get one smooth and solid line which of course was disappointing (the swatch you see was built twice). I have compared it to Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner and Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner which makes the gappy application of this product pretty obvious. So you need to layer it up at least three times to make it look even which is very time consuming since it doesn’t dry out quickly.
I thought it might have a good lasting power since it says it’s waterproof but I don’t find it very long lasting either. As the day goes on, it flakes off. All I can say is that they really need to update this formula. They should make it more pigmented and add something to make it last long. The packaging, as I said, is good so a renewed formula for the same price might make it a much better deal.
You might like it if…
- You are looking for something affordable.
- You don’t mind layering up your eyeliner.
- You find the applicator easy to control.
- You expect good pigmentation.
- You don’t want your eyeliner to flake.
- You want your eyeliner to dry out quickly.

Overall, I really wish I could say something good about it but I am sorry, it didn't work for me.

ReplyDeleteWell, I agree with you. I love my liners very pigmented, esp it it's a black one.
ReplyDeleteTo bad the liner didn't work that well. Maybe this might help signal the company to reformulate this liner. :)
