Rimmel sure knows how to describe a product. All these massive claims really make you curious and despite knowing it won’t be all true, don’t we still fall for it?
Anyway, the product looks a lot like Cover girl’s lash blast to me. It’s like Rimmel was almost trying to mimic the super hit mascara. The wand is really big which is a slight problem for me. I just think a big wand messes up my application maybe because I have small eyes. My sister, on the other hand, totally digs the wand and think it’s better (FYI, she has big round eyes).
The formula is rather gloopy and tends to accumulate on the tip of the wand which I don’t like. However, it does lengthen and thicken my lashes in one stroke. The effect I get is not dramatic but it’s something to admire. I really wish it could also lift my lashes and not stick or bunch them together on second and third application (kinda turns me off a bit). Always use an eyelash curler with this one for best results.
The product lasts all day on me. If you’re someone like me who’s always in a rush to apply makeup in the morning (‘cuz you don’t wanna be late for work) then this is not your thing, seriously. The gigantic wand could mess application and clump your lashes. If you have some minutes to spare, I am sure you’d appreciate it.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about this product. I like it but I don’t really like it (I mean, what the hell?) My sister – the one with the big round eyes and a lot of minutes to spare for a mascara application – gives it a thumbs up. Now the question is who are you more like?

- You are in a rush to apply.
- You don’t curl your lashes before application.
- You resent how it clumps your lashes.

ReplyDeleteactually Maybelline has better mascara.. esp the Maybelline Volum' Express Hyper Curl Cat Eyes Mascara. Thats my most favorite.

DeleteI have small eyes too! The bigger the brushes, the harder it is to apply mascara on the inner lashes! Ugh
ReplyDeleteI have tiny eyes too (like, think baby eyes, cuz i have a babyface), and I find using the end of the brush to kind of comb through the innermost lashes (and sometimes the outermost ones) does a much better job than simply trying to jam the giant brush into such a small space. Hope it helps!

ReplyDeleteMy eye shape is more like yours, so the bigger the brusher the worse off I am. At the same time, I love the effect of this mascara on you so I might have o take Atqa's suggestion and use a different brush.

ReplyDeleteits not very good its messy and makes my lashes look thinner than any other mascara! i have big eyes and the brush is to big and if you do more than 2 coats lashes stick together! i say avoid it there are so many better mascaras out there, dont take the chance try something else,
