Jelly Pong Pong Teint Sublime … the complexion cheater – Review & swatches

Before I begin talking about this product, I must say, Jelly Pong Pong has one of the cutest packaging I have ever seen. I am easily drawn to pretty packaging and it’s hard for me to resist buying a product solely for this reason. Anyway, on JPP’s website I found this product comes in five varieties for different skin issues and effects. Does it really work? Let’s find out!

Teint Sublime … the complexion cheater
A pillow-soft cream, like the breeze on your face and dandelions on your cheeks is truly Sublime.

A super-smooth skin souffle to neutralize & colour-correct. Unique because it doesn't require a foundation top-up....The Ultimate Complexion Cheater.

Instructions: Squeeze out size of small seed & smooth onto problem areas. Blend very well. Allow 1 minute for colour to adjust. Enriched with UV protection.

My thoughts
The one I have got claims to brighten pale, colorless complexion. Since it’s pink-based, I knew it must be used on dull areas of the skin to light them up. Having neutral skin tone, I’ve always kept a distance from a foundation that’s pink-based because it would appear mismatched. To my surprise, this rather worked perfectly.

JPP Teint Sublime is a makeup base meant to be worn alone or under foundation (if you want to). It’s supposed to correct and even out complexion. Start by applying dots on face and blending out. A little goes a long way. Give it a minute to adjust to your skin.

This product gave me an instant brightness without turning my face grey or unusual. You can either apply to your whole face or apply to areas where you’d need it most. The area around my mouth is naturally a bit dull looking so I like to apply it there and add a foundation on top. When I want to get away with less makeup, I apply this to my whole face and top off with a compact powder. Since it brightens skin, you can use this as a highlighter too.

It gives a matte finish and I really like how my skin feels soft and velvety. If you have dryness issues, moisturize before application. It’s enriched with UV protection which is a plus. The product comes in an 8ml tube which I feel is not enough for the price you’re paying but it’s quite handy anyway. Teint sublime comes in other shades as well. You can check it out here.

You might like it if…
  • Your skin is dull looking and needs something to brighten up.
  • You have some dull areas/spots on your face that you need to even out.
  • You want to get away with less makeup.
You might not like it if…
  • You look at the tube. It’s just so small.

I got it as a birthday present from a lovely friend. Good news for all your girls in Pakistan, Beauty Unleashed sells Jelly Pong Pong for the most reasonable price. You can purchase this for just PKR 999 (Sale price).

You can purchase this from their website too. Jelly Pong Pong ships worldwide.
