Oriflame Beauty Perfect Blush in ‘Classic Rose’ – Review & swatches

I have been looking for a daily wear blush for some time now. My all time favorite has been Rimmel Mono Blush in Santa Rose which I have probably repurchased three times (one product I hit pan on so quickly in my stash). For a change, I tried this one and I must say the shade looks very flattering on my skin tone.

Oriflame Beauty Perfect Blush

My thoughts
I would define Classic Rose as a dusty pink shade. It isn’t entirely a matte blusher as it seems. It has tiny specks of silver shimmer which is not very noticeable when applied. What pulled me towards it was its elegant packaging. The price was also affordable so I gave it a shot.

I have a love/hate relationship with this blush. Initially, I liked it a lot! Now the reason why I liked it was because I found the shade very appealing. It looks very natural and gives a beautiful glow to my face. It became my go-to blusher for quite some time. After a few days, I noticed a hard crust developing on top which made it difficult to get picked up on the brush. This was the turning point for me and I started disliking this product. It became very difficult for me to swatch it because of the hard texture. So you need to keep a heavy hand while applying. I also think that only a good makeup brush with dense bristles would make its application possible. Therefore I kinda disagree with the soft texture claim. It also takes time to build up so you have to be very patient.

The product wears up to five-six hours but I’m glad it fades evenly. All in all, it’s an average blusher in my opinion. It’s a good everyday blush since it doesn’t show up any shimmer and would give a natural flush to your cheeks. You can only make it work for you if you own a good makeup brush. Otherwise, the hard texture might give you a hard time. This blush also comes in two other shades which limit the range to choose from. I personally don’t think Classic Rose would appear on your skin tone if you're above NC 35.

I purchased this blush for PKR 650 from Just4girls.pk.

You might like it if…
  • You are looking for a daily wear blush that looks natural.
  • You don’t like a blusher with shimmer in it.
  • You want a blush with decent lasting power.
You might not like it if…
  • You find the texture very hard for application.
  • You want a pigmented blusher.
  • You are above NC 35.

  3. It's disappointing that the texture hardens, otherwise it is such a pretty shade.

  7. Great review. It is a lovely color, too bad about it hardening though. I have that same problem with bourjois blushes.
