My thoughts
You might be comparing it with Kryolan TV paint stick in your heads. I have been using the TV paint stick for over three years and I can definitely say that this product targets a different audience. In my opinion this foundation is an ultimate dream-come-true for combination/oily skin types living in the warm and humid climate say Karachi for instance.

In one word, I’d define this foundation stick as an ‘anti-shine’ product. I mean literally it gives a matte finish to my face. I admit that it has a creamy texture with brightening part as an added factor. I usually don’t go wrong with choosing the right shade for myself but I found this a bit mismatched for my skin tone. I am thinking it’s because of the brightening part or maybe it does not match my undertone. So DON'T forget to try before dropping one into your bag.

This foundation gives a finish similar to a compact powder with a slightly better coverage. I don’t think it can work as a concealer as it doesn’t cover up my dark circles very well. It definitely glides onto my skin smoothly however I am not at all pleased with its blending. Despite being creamy (in a matte/powdery sense), it accentuates the dry patches on my skin which is why I think you need to moisturize your skin before applying it. I suggest applying Luscious whitening base underneath. I am happy that it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin unlike the paint stick. I am also impressed with its lasting power. It wears for over five hours and doesn’t make my skin appear greasy by the end of the day. It did not break me out either.

The application is simple. Just swipe the product on your fingers and blend starting from one side of the face to another. Remember to prime or moisturize your skin before applying the product. This foundation doesn’t need any setting up with a compact powder however you might want to freshen up your face after 6-8 hours.

Luscious Foundation Stick costs PKR 850. For the price, I do not think this product comes in lesser quantity. It will last you a long time, believe me.

Will it work for all skin types? To be honest, I think it is best suited for combination to oily skins.

You might like it if…
  • You have combination/oily skin type.
  • You are looking for a matte finish.
  • You want medium coverage.
  • You expect the formula to be light weight and natural looking.
  • You expect it to last longer.
You might not like it if…
  • You have dry/normal skin type.
  • You don’t want it to accentuate dryness on your face.
  • You find the blending a bit troublesome.
  • You can’t find your perfect shade. It comes in limited shades.
My rating:
3.5/5

  17. Look like a great creamy foundation. I also hate that the foundation cake up dry spot after applying! A great moisturizer is need for this kind of foundation:)

  18. I've got to tell you: your skin looked better without it >W< But you have fabulous skin!

I do love the idea of a matte finish, but as I have combo dry/oily, I don't think I could use it all around. And then blending it with a separate foundation or layering it might look cakey. D: too bad!
