| Saeed Ghani Face Wash Neem – for acne, pimples & black heads |
Saeed Ghani products are not only 100% herbal but also quite easy on the pocket. Since I have heard so many girls raving about their products, I decided to give it a try myself.
Specially formulated to ensure long lasting oil control and to remove dirt and impurities.
Net vol. 60 ml

Honestly, I have a mixed feeling about this product. It does its job well doing away with dirt and impurities but I am not sure if it controls oil for me (neither for my oily-skinned sister). My sister thinks the product robs her skin off from the essential oils thus making her face oily as a reaction to it which of course is not a good thing. She feels the need to wash her face again after two to three hours which leaves her skin dried out. As for me, I didn’t notice my face getting shiny that soon – it was just OK for me.
I noticed that this facewash doesn’t lather well so you feel like taking out more product hence you kinda waste some in the process. Also because the consistency is tad runny, you have to be careful while squeezing the tube. May be if it would’ve come in a pump nozzle bottle, it wouldn’t have gone to waste.
This facewash smells strongly of herbs – a bitter scent that could put you off. I personally don’t mind the scent but if you want something that would please your senses, watch out! It would do just the opposite. The scent for me was difficult to stand when I used it for the first time but eventually I got used to it.
I don’t see how it can prevent acne and black heads. It gets over drying when used more than once a day which I believe can worsen an acne prone skin. So, I won’t suggest this product to anyone who has a sensitive pimple prone skin. I am not even sure what type of skin would it suit to.
Overall it’s an OK product in my opinion – nothing special. And definitely not the one that comes up to its claim. It costs PKR 150 and can be purchased from any Saeed Ghani outlet.
You might like it if…
- You are a fan of natural products.
- You are looking for something cheap.
You might not like it if…
- You expect it to control oil on your face for long.
- You find it a bit drying.
- The scent puts you off.
My rating:

2.5/5

ReplyDeleteohh,,nice!! Neem is a best antiseptic & i hope this product will be the best for skin problems..!!
ReplyDeleteI've read rave reviews about Saeed Ghani as well. I've always wanted to try their hair oils.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your review i'm staying away from this face wash.
saeed ghani products never suit my skin...but i can try this one for PKR 150.i have heard neem is very good for acne/pimple prone skin.
ReplyDeleteGlad I read your review because just the other day I saw their outlet and was thinking of going in to purchase some face washes etc.
ReplyDeleteI never liked Saeed Ghani's facewash or creams. It's good for ubtan and sandal things. The facewash by Saeed Ghani never worked for me. Great review Sara!
ReplyDeleteFew year back when they launch their products, they were very particular about quality, but by the passage of time they lost it. :)
ReplyDeleteNice and Honest review... :) Great...
oo I don't like products that rip my moisture out :/ thanks for the honest review hun!
ReplyDeleteI love reading honest reviews like this, it doesn't sound like my sort of thing - so glad I read this as I've saved myself some money!! x
ReplyDeletethanx 4 the honest review i have tried their ubtan that was good
ReplyDeleteI am using it now a days & completely agree with your sister views.. It does remove essential oil & dries out my skin
ReplyDeletei have used their ubtan that was good, thanx for review sara
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the bitter herbal scent, but I know what you mean about the rest. Neem is frequently recommended to me for my various skin conditions (the kind you drink, not put on your face.) But I've never tried it. This may be a possible alternative?
ReplyDeleteyou should use the neem soap, it's better. At first it dries your skin if you have mixed skin like mine but then it stops the acne from coming back and also makes blemishes lighter. The facewash is just not satisfactory but the soap for sure is:)
ReplyDeletenopesy daisy..this product never worked for me..gave it to my mom who has normal skin
ReplyDeletei only use their sandal/ubtan soap...n the smell is to die for..u shud reallly go for that soap..trust me!!
Why can't we use fresh neem leaves boiled and water consumed to solve acne problem?
ReplyDeleteI don't knw the exact way of preparing the neem drink or water to wash
Thanks for the honest review.
ReplyDeleteI dislike this product. It was very harsh on my skin!
ReplyDeleteThnk u 4 guiding :)
ReplyDeletelove !
i dont like their products since they lie about them! i bought a conditioner and they have copied all the description on their product from internet (earth nectar's condtioner) it surely is disappointing. god knows what that conditioner is made of.. it says its made from japanese grapefruit and lime essential oil. like that could be true... but it doesnt say anything in the ingredients. why do they think customers are blind and dumb at the same time! :\
ReplyDeleteWell, this kinda makes me suspicious too :) thanks for commenting :) xx
