Beautyuk Lipstick in 'In The Buff' - Review & swatches

My thoughts
After I was sent to try Beautyuk’s lipstick in ‘Passion’, I instantly fell in love with it. If you remember, I got myself ‘In the Buff’ in my Beautyuk haul sometime back. You must have seen me wearing it in Sigma’s Flare palette review post. I paired it up with NARS gloss in ‘sweet dreams’. Oh my! It made a gorgeous blend.

Anyway, ‘In the Buff’ is a GORGEOUS rosy pink shade. I don’t usually wear pinks a lot but this is such a pretty one. I think it’s one of the favorite pink lipsticks I’ve got.

It has a nice ‘minty’ scent plus flavor to it. The texture is creamy and glides on smoothly on my lips to give a cream-matte finish. It’s immensely pigmented - gives a good degree of opacity on first swipe. It stays on for long too (stays good on me for around three hours). This lipstick gives a full coverage which is my favorite part.. Considering its unbeatable price, all these qualities are hard to believe, right?

I didn’t notice it setting into clumps around the margin of my lips which I face with my Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks. If I had to choose, I’d even pick this one over my NYX round lipstick in tea rose (which is my favorite too) because of its lasting ability. This lipstick leaves me NO choice but to love it wholeheartedly.

I suppose this shade would look flattering on any skintone. ‘Passion’ is much darker and bolder shade as compared to this one in my opinion. You can tone the shade down with any of your nude/pink lip glosses if you find it too dark for your taste.

Sadly, I couldn’t find a Nude shade in this range. I love collecting nudes. I so wish Beautyuk comes up with one. I think they should expand their palette and bring out some more shades.
