Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner in Black – Review & swatches

Eyeliner is an absolute staple makeup item for me. I never leave home without applying one! Not that I believe it would protect me from the ‘evil’ eye or something. It’s because I LOVE to define my eyes.

Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner - Black
Easy-to-control liquid liner has a fine, flexible brush for precise application. Rich, fluid formula dries fast and stays put to subtly enhance or dramatically define.

My thoughts
This is probably the second liquid eyeliner I have EVER used! I’ve been very loyal to Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner until I tried this one. What makes me love it more is its applicator. I suppose that’s because the brush applicator of this liner is flexible, bends nicely with the eye’s curvature and gives more even application than the hard felt tip as Rimmel’s. I also noticed that Rimmel’s formula smears a bit when applied unlike Wet n Wild’s. Otherwise, they both are equally pigmented.

This liner is probably the UK version of Wet n Wild’s Mega liner. The packaging is different though which confused me at first. I mean, it’s written no where that it’s the Mega liner but by looking at the packaging I assumed it should be. So, I did some searching and found that I was right. This is the UK version of Wet n Wild’s eyeliner manufactured by Markwins International. It is also sold online on the girly shop.uk and cosmetics fairy.uk.

Anyway, the consistency of this liner is perfect. It’s a true black that appears matte. As I said, it’s richly pigmented and glides on very smoothly. The formula dries quickly too. The applicator is very slim and helps in creating the thinnest line possible. You sure can layer up more to make the line thick or intense. You may find the brush applicator flimsy and hard to control but if you practice more, you’d get better. However, I do wish it were a bit sturdier.

This liner doesn’t budge for at least seven hours! Remains where you put it smudge proof! What’s so amazing about this eye liner is, though it is smudge proof; it comes off easily with plain water. I rubbed it on my hand to test if it would fade– it didn’t. I poured some water on and it was gone. You don’t have to fight with your lids to remove it.

You might like it if…
  • You want a jet black liquid eye liner.
  • You want your liner to be smudge proof.
  • You want your eyeliner to show on the very first swipe.
  • You expect good pigmentation.
You might not like it if…
  • You find the slim brush applicator very hard to control.

@Sasha, it's not available at Naheed or Aghas. You can only get this from Just4girls.pk. :)

@Mie, I am going to use it in my upcoming FOTDs and EOTDs. You can see how it looks on the eyes then. :) <3

  14. Wet n Wild was my to-go brand for eyeliners way before I ever considered wearing other makeup. Admittedly, I'm now eyeing higher end brands but MAN the pigmentation on this looks great.

  15. LOVE liquid liners that dry matte. I find that the ones that dry with a glossy finish tend to flake.
