BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 1st Edition - Review, swatches & a look!

Hey y'all! I am very excited about this review. I was given an opportunity by BH cosmetics to review this palette and I hope that you find my review helpful.

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 1st Edition
BH cosmetics says to light up your eyes with this best-selling eyeshadow palette's gorgeous, vibrant colors. One-hundred-and-twenty popular, heavenly hues, from deep rubies and glittery onyxes to sparkling emeralds and lustrous lavenders, turn you into a dazzling diva by day -- a sultry siren by night. The intensely-pigmented colors last all day long... yet they sweep on as gently as a caress. Sleek and portable, the stylish eyeshadow palette encases two amazing color layers in a 9" x 6" hard case.

Ingredients:
Talcum Powder, Kaolin, Mica Powder, Magnesium Stearate, Titanium White Powder, Colorant,
Pearl Lustre Mica Powder, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Oil, Titanium White Powder.

My thoughts
This palette is totally AWESOME. It comes in a nice shiny black casing. I just LOVE the fact that the colors are very pigmented and blendable. Most of them are very pigmented however a few light colors need to be builded up.

This palette has an impressive range of shimmer, metallic and matte colors. I find the colors in the palette very bright and beautiful. I think any makeup look can be achieved with this palette. Now, I did not find the eye shadows to be chalky or powdery at all. I noticed negligible fallout when I applied it on my eyes. The eye shadows get picked up by the brush quite easily too. For me, the best thing about this palette is that the eye shadows are very long lasting when you pair it up with a good eye primer/base - no creasing, no fading by the end of the day.

Here are some shots of the palette. Each eyeshadow is about a size of a 2 Pakistani rupees coin.

Oh! I see some marble shades in there too.

Here's a random swatch of the palette WITHOUT using any primer.

I have also created a look with this palette. I pretty much enjoyed creating it. Here's a close up of the eyes first.

Did you notice? I forgot to put on a mascara. LOL!

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 1st Edition look
For eyes, I used:
  • Artdeco eyeshdaow base
  • Rimmel Match perfection concealer
  • BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 1st Edition
  • Nyx jumbo pencil in Milk
  • Black gel liner from the Beauty UK eyeshadow combo palette
  • Rimmel exaggerate liquid liner
  • Oriflame kajal
  • Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil in Brown black.
For face, I used:
  • Kryolan TV paint stick in 4w
  • Rimmel mono blush in Santa Rose
  • DMGM Luminous touch cheek blush in Beige pink
  • The body shop baked to last bronzer in 01
For lips, I used:
  • Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in Pink Blush
  • Tony & Teena lip liner in pretty pink
  • A lip gloss (unknown brand)
Overall, I would say that I LOVE this palette. It's a great quality palette for less price. BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 1st Edition comes with a price tag of $23.96 which is very affordable in my opinion.

BH Cosmetics ships internationally. You can order your palette from the website HERE. Folks in Pakistan can purchase this from Just4girls.pk.

What do you think about it? Has anyone tried it yet?

  11. I really want this palette, though I wish their products were made in America instead of China. Still, I might buy this palette someday. I would like to know what the purpose of the marbled shadows is.. do they look different than the normal ones? I've never used a marbled shadow so I'm curious. Thank you for the review! :)

  17. I saw xsparkage review of these on youtube a fair while ago, and i was thinking I would like to buy them. But I've got the Coastal Scents 88 palettes in matte and shimmer, so I don't need another palette with a million colours. But I do like the look of these, so pigmented! Plus one of the shadows (in the actual pan) fell out of my 88 palette - bad glue *rolls eyes*. I love the look you did with the colours too, very pretty !

  41. I love my 120 colour palette mine is a different brand but I think its mostly the same product this one looks a lot sturdier packaging than mine though, My Manly palette has fallen apart which is a shame as some of the eyeshadows have broken.
I love the minty blue look you have done, just gorgeous.

  46. ur reviews are really amazing....U r gorgeous Sara...:) luv your makeup and ur passion for makeup..Keep it up...

  47. @Renji Anooj, Thank you sweetie :)

Well, the palette you see above has mostly matte shades but some of them have slight shimmer. They are quite pigmented too. I haven't tried the 10 Color Camouflage and Concealer Palette so I can't comment on that. :)
